What is Ragging?
- Any act that causes physical or mental harassment
- Teasing, abusing, or humiliating a student
- Forcing a student to perform acts against their will
- Creating fear, stress, or discomfort among junior students
Zero Tolerance Policy
Patna College of Polytechnic follows a Zero Tolerance Policy towards Ragging. Any student found guilty of ragging will face strict disciplinary action, which may include:
- Suspension or expulsion from the institution
- Cancellation of admission
- Withholding of results or certificates
- Legal action as per law
Anti-Ragging Measures
To prevent ragging, the college has implemented the following measures:
- Formation of an Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad
- Regular awareness programs and orientations for students
- Continuous monitoring of campus and hostels
- Confidential handling of complaints
Reporting Ragging
Students are encouraged to report any incident of ragging without fear. Complaints will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Students can report ragging through:
- College Anti-Ragging Committee
- Support a ragging-free campus
- Report any form of ragging immediately
